Sources have stated that Dhakshayini, a mother of two children aged eight and five and has separated from her husband, left the confines of her mother’s home in Tondiarpet to work as a maid in Dammam in Saudi Arabia and a few months later, she has jumped from the balcony of the house she was working in unable to bear the torture she has received at her employers’ hands.
She has said that once, she has escaped from the home and has tried to lodge a complaint with the police station, but the policemen were unresponsive and they have told her to go back or face imprisonment and so she has gone back and they has beaten her up more.
