Police arrested Rubi Rai, Bihar class 12 topper on Saturday when she appeared for a re test at the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB). Nation woke with shock when Rubi Rai who topped in Arts stream, said political science is all about cooking.
Police official revealed that Special Investigation Team (SIT) is probing into the Bihar toppers scam and they arrested when Rubi Rai finally appeared for a re test at BSEB office.
Officials revealed that Rubi will be produced in local court. Earlier Rubi Rai didnot appear for re test twice on June 3 and June 17 citing ill health. BSEB put results of Rubi and other toppers on hold after the scam came out in May.
BSEB called 14 toppers for re test after a sting operation exposed them. In the sting while Arts topper Rubi Rai said "Prodikal (read political) science is about cooking", Science topper Saurabh Sreshta shocked saying Most reactive element in the periodic table is aluminium".
Rubi and saurabh both students of VR.College in Vaishali district scored 444 and 485 out of 500 respectively. Patna Civil Court issued non bailable warrant against the ofur toppers. Earlier Bachcha Rai, director cum principal of the VR.College was arrested and sent to Beur Jail,Patna.
