Recently, the AP CM had met Etihad airways vice-president when he was in China for World Economic Forum meeting. Very soon international travellers from here need not rely anymore based on the connectivity for abroad to International Airport in Hyderabad.

Sources say that the airline had responded positively to a request made in this regard by Chandrababu and authorities expect the airline to seek necessary permissions from the Civil Aviation Ministry soon enough for commencing the international operations.

With the Civil Aviation Minister being Ashok Gajapathi Raju, granting permissions should not be an issue. Already AP is in news as the airports here are creating records in terms of passenger handling and overall operations after bifurcation. Many feel Etihad can capitalize on this boom being an early bird!
