The Enforcement Directorate’s sudden surprise yesterday by attaching the properties worth Rs 749 crore of YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy as well as his wife Bharathi related to the money laundering case has now taken the total attachment of properties so far which is worth over Rs 2,500 crore.
It has been revealed that Jagan's famous Lotus Pond residence and Sakshi Towers, which is also the headquarters of his Telugu daily in the city of Hyderabad is now under ED grip. There are reports that further investigations are being done in India and abroad.
The attached properties were in the states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Usually it is said that not many attachments have bothered Jagan because he gets some advanced hint from Delhi and hence he prepares for it. So far, things are being managed that way.
But this time the manner in which ED has targeted him directly seems to have had a major impact on him, say sources. Jagan was himself shocked at how the ED has specifically targeted key assets and backbone of Jagan Reddy! Wonder what will come next.
