The so called hyped shifting of AP government employees as well as offices to the upcoming capital city of Amaravati seems to have become a damp squib. There are reports that a majority of the employees, who had participated in the formal inauguration ceremony of the interim government complex at Velagapudi had returned to Hyderabad.

According to government sources, the interim government complex is expected to become ready only by August second week of and till then these employees will be functioning from Hyderabad. So, they have returned back to their original base.

They will be later moving to Amaravati in batches after their offices in the interim complex are fully ready for occupation. The staff of AP hurried through this shifting process for meeting the deadline which had been fixed by the state government.



Although their offices are yet to be ready, the interim complex had been inaugurated at the auspicious muhurtham of 2.59 pm on Wednesday and sources say that within hours, the expected reverse exodus had started. Let us hope the next deadline is met with all conditions fulfilled.
