Come elections all political parties cutting across regions, promise freebies,sops and what not to get the votes of common people. They offer even heaven for free but after coming to power they take people for a ride.
Now politicians are making shocking statements on subsidies to people. TDP MP JC.Diwakar Reddy, BJP MLA Vishnu Kumar and recently Jayaprakash Narayan are making such statements quite often.
JC.Diwakar Reddy questioned the need of subsidised rice for one rupee and free power to people. JC many times questioned when coolies are having tea for five rupees, why should one have rice for one rupee.
BJP MLA Vishnukumar Raju said free sops and subsidies are making people lazy. Many are criticising these two leaders for their comments. They say any government schemes find some unwanted people benefiting but mostly there are many deserving people find help from them.
JC Diwakar Reddy who is opposing sops and subsidies is forgetting that as a MP he is getting more facilities at subsidised price but he didnot part with any of them. He is having full meals at 5Rs, Chicken Biryani at Rs20, coffee at Rs 1 etc and not even poorest of the poor will have such subsidies.
Apart from these these politicians are getting salaries in lakhs which expose their double standards.
