Sources have stated that P. Ramkumar, the suspected killer of Infosys engineer S. Swathi, was brought to Chennai in the early hours of Monday amid tight security. And he was admitted to the Tirunelveli Government Medical College Hospital in the early hours of Saturday after he slit his throat in a suicide bid, was on Sunday evening taken by an ambulance to Chennai.


It is stated that Ramkumar was remanded in judicial custody for 15 days. Ramkumar's security will be handled by Puzhal prison personnel. Police sources have told that Ramkumar has told everything to the magistrate court judge. Judge leaves the hospital after recording Ramkumar's statement.


The 14th Metropolitan Magistrate Court judge, Gopinath, has arrived at the hospital to record Ramkumar's statement. Senior police officers have visited Ramkumar in the hospital where he was given Idli, idiyappam and juice and after some time he was given solid food. The medical team comprising an ENT doctor and a surgeon are there and they will check the patient frequently and update.


Sources have added that the patient is stable and conscious, the wound is healing and he is also talking well and Ramkumar is brought to the Royapettah General Hospital in Chennai and he is conscious and able to speak.
