Maharashtra Government has ordered a probe into Islamic Preacher Zakir Naik's speeches. It seems they have inspired some of the Dhaka attackers and Centre has promised to take 'Action' against him.
And just when things got heat, Congress leader Digvijaya singh shared a video of him where he shares a dais with televangelist at an event to promote communal harmony. Security personnel were deployed outside Mr. Naik’s ‘Islamic Research Foundation’ office at Dongri in south Mumbai as a precautionary measure.
Mr.Naik however defended himself by saying, "I never spoke a single word which encouraged to Kill each other. Be it Muslim or Non-Muslim." Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, "I have requested Mumbai Police Commissioner to conduct a probe on his speeches and submit a report.
Later the Home Minister will study his speeches and then we will take appropriate action against him." Mr.Digvijaya Singh, who was seen praising Naik in the 2012 video defended himself by saying that there is no evidence of it.
