Generally only countries have foreign ministers. However newly formed state of Telangana may create record becoming the first state to have Foreign Minister. It is coming out that CM KCR is planning to make his son KTR as Foreign Minister.
Sources say “The state government is planning to formulate its own NRI policy , the highlight of which is a proposal to establish a separate ministry for promoting Telangana off-shore. And it is but natural that the mantle falls on KTR, who is now in charge of NRI affairs,“
Sources from the Government feel that they need exclusive ministry for foreign and NRI affairs. Government feels say that KTR is best suitable for the industry.
Telangana may be coming with Foreign Minister but sources say that they are inspired by Kerala which is having dedicated ministry to handle the welfare of migrants.
