There are some reports in Telugu Desam Party circles that the former Congress MP from Anakapalli and a well known politician Sabbam Hari would be the party’s candidate for the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation Mayor post. Hari enjoys quite a clout in that region.
TDP leadership is all set to bring Sabbam
Sources say that TDP leadership is all set to bring Sabbam into the party and he would be most likely projected as the Mayoral candidate. Chandrababu is yet to give his final nod but it will be an indirect snub for Jagan if this happens! It is not sure if Congress is working on retaining him.
Undavalli Arun Kumar into
At a time when the YSRCP boss Jagan has been trying to rope in Undavalli Arun Kumar into his party, TDP attracting Sabbam is definitely a big news as he commands good respect in Vizag district. It will be an asset if he joins TDP and Chandrababu is well aware of that!
Sabbam went into political oblivion after he was defeated in recent Lok Sabha elections from Visakhapatnam. He was once very close to the YSR Congress party before the 2014 elections, and later he moved away from Y S Jaganmohan Reddy due to various reasons!
