After the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, now eventually the Leader of Opposition in AP and leader of YSRCP, Jaganmohan Reddy is reportedly shifting very soon to a location near the proposed capital region for Seemandhra districts.

Sources say very soon he may be hiring rented premises near the temple town of Mangalagiri. This will serve as both his home and also the party headquarters there. Many feel this is a strategic move by Jagan Reddy to give positive feelers and be approachable to the locals there.

It is known that he has already stated he will give away lands taken for capital back to farmers if he is voted to power in 2019. This has severely affected the morale and public image for YSRCP in Krishna and Guntur district. Many felt this was a rather shallow promise.

Hence this move by Jagan is being seen as subtle shift of his strategy that he may not be averse to the location of capital region. Hence this is being seen as a forced endorsement of Chandrababu’s decision. On the bright side, shifting base from Hyderabad will give him more access in AP.
