The grand old party is all set to leverage the Special Status sentiment which is evident in the Private Member Bill that is being pushed by its Rajya Sabha MP, KVP Ramachandra Rao in Parliament. Though it has been deferred for a while, the Congress is not willing to give up. According to sources, Jagan feels he can’t be taking any more chances and hence, he announced his new move almost immediately. His men in Lok Sabha would be now moving a Private Member Bill for Special Status to Andhra Pradesh! This clearly shows that Jagan, as the opposition leader has lost the first mover advantage. So if there is any sensational achievement by Congress, then Jagan may have to fight more to stop the reactivation of Congress cadre in AP. This is going to be a tough journey ahead. |
