Chennai sources have stated that Tamil Nadu assembly has currently witnessed a shocking incident which made DMK MLAs walked out in anger and the speaker too has ruled opposition not to call CM Jayalalitha by name in assembly.

It is stated that when AIADMK Tiruttani MLA PM Narasimhan has called earlier DMK Chief Karunanidhi by name, DMK MLAs have objected and protested against calling an Ex CM by name in assembly.

Meanwhile speaker P Dhanapal has supported AIADMK MLA saying that a former chief minister can be called by name, but he would not agree if opposition calls CM Jayalalitha by name.

It is also stated that DMK treasurer Stalin spoke to reporters that there is no such code for assembly sessions that an MLA cannot be called by name and has said that speaker's order is purely against the law.
