India celebrated Vijay Diwas,the day when Indian Army showed stars to Pakistani soldiers and mercenaries who infiltrated into Kargil in 1999. On the occasion people of India saluted Indian Army its bravery. PM Modi saluted the soldiers paying rich tributes to the sacrifices made by them. 


He came with flurry of tweets heaping praises on Indian army. 
"On Kargil Vijay Diwas I bow to every valiant soldier who fought for India till the very last breath. Their heroic sacrifices inspire us."
"India will never forget the fearlessness with which our courageous soldiers gave a befitting & unforgettable reply to the intruders," 
"We recall with pride, the firmness demonstrated by India's political leadership in 1999, which ensured a decisive victory in Kargil."


Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu speaking in Parliament warned Pakistan against using proxy war as its state policy and said this will not be tolerated. 


Venkaiah Naidu expressed displeasure over negative insinuations directed towards the Army, and went on to add that it made him sad to witness an advantage being handed over to Pakistan, by falling into the trap of negatively portraying the Indian Army.
