More than 10000 stranded Indians in Saudi Arabia got good news when External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj assured that they will be evacuated on emergency basis from the country. Sushma Swaraj speaking in Parliament assured that none of the Indians will go hungry as ration has been distributed in the country. 


She said VK. Singh, her deputy will be leaving for Saudi Arabia, to monitor the evacuation process. Today in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members expressed their concern on the fate of Indians in Saudi Arabia. Sushma Swaraj replying to their concerns informed that Indian embassy was running five camps to feed them and added she is getting hourly updates. 


She said "Not one worker of ours will go hungry. This is my assurance to the country through Parliament... We will bring all of them back to India,"She said Government of India is in touch with foreign and labour offices in Saudi Arabia to ensure Indians early evacuation. 


She informed that law there does not permit an emergency exit visa without no objection certificate from the employers who. The government has requested the Saudi government to give them exit visas as employers had left the country and also urged it to first clear the dues of workers+ who have not been paid for months, whenever they settle the accounts with the companies concerned.
