There are reports coming from the city of Vijayawada that the senior Congress leader and also former minister Devineni Rajasekhar aka Nehru will be joining the Telugu Desam Party anytime soon. He was with TDP from 1983 to 1995. His arrival will add a lot of strength.
Chandrababu revolted against NTR
When Chandrababu revolted against NTR, he sided with NTR and Lakshmi Parvathy and later he joined Congress as he was left with no option, Nehru has been facing political oblivion because the Congress was wiped from Andhra Pradesh after state bifurcation.
YSR Congress party
Although he was expected to move to the YSR Congress party due to his closeness with the late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, the caste factor was not favouring him. Moreover even TDP wanted to consolidate Kamma votebank in Kamma dominated areas which is crucial during 2019 elections.
There are reports that Chandrababu already gave green signal to Nehru. Along with him, even Kapu leader and former deputy speaker of Andhra Pradesh assembly Buragadda Vedavyas is reportedly contemplating to take a plunge into TDP! Let us wait for it to happen then.
