Hyderabad sources have stated that two weeks after renegade Maoist Nayeemuddin was gunned down, crucial details have emerged about how the operation to eliminate him was kept top secret for weeks.

It is stated that only a handful of police officers knew about the August 8th operation, as they deliberately kept the entire plan under wraps fearing leaks from their own colleagues, except for two top cops and a four-member special tactical team, that has tracked the gangster and gunned him down in an encounter at Shadnagar, no other policeman in Telangana knew about 'Operation Nayeem'.

Meanwhile the Special Intelligence Branch (SIB) of Telangana has tried to nab Nayeem nine months ago, but could not succeed as the gangster got wind of the manhunt for him from the police and left the state for his dens in Goa, Mumbai and Raipur.

The SIM team has obtained building plans of select dens of Nayeem, including Alkapuri Colony and Shadnagar to prepare themselves for the 'breach operation' and during the tracking, the team also realized that women staying at the dens of Nayeem and even some of the grown children knew how to use firearms.
