New Delhi sources have stated that Tuesday's assembly session had MLAs voice their concerns about rising dangerous diseases dengue and chikungunya cases even as health minister Satyendar Jain sought to underplay the crisis.
Meanwhile after blaming the BJP led municipal corporations for the sanitation mess in the city, AAP MLAs have repeatedly asked for the municipal commissioners to be summoned to the House to explain how they were trying to control the mosquito menace.
By accusing the corporations of creating a situation that would lead to a spurt in vector borne diseases so that they could blame the situation on the government, Laxmi Nagar MLA Nitin Tyagi has said it was the corporation's job to take preventive measures while the government's was to take curative measures.
Sources have also stated that the government has paid the corporations to take preventive measures but the latter couldn't explain how the funds were being spent.
