Hyderabad sources have stated that Rampant teacher absenteeism and poor infrastructure is jeopardizing the education of as many as 500 students of Government Degree College for Women in Golconda and the situation is grim with students saying there was no permanent faculty.


Meanwhile BA second year student Amena has said students are now at their wit's end and of the five subjects in her course, only one history is being taught and there are no teachers for political science, economics, English and Arabic, which are the other subjects and they are worried about their future.


At the same time another student said the degree college didn't even have a principal and the principal from the City College had come over a few times, she has said adding that they did deserve a full-time principal.


When contacted in charge commissioner Vijay Prasad has said that they have received the representation from students on August 23rd and they will review the matter and take action.
