You may not have witnessed anything like this in your life so far. If so, that might be the worst day of your life ever. Mr.Rathish Sekhar who is a private consultant working on Government projects was hand overed a bill of Rs.915,887 by an Ola cab driver for a trip to Nizamabad and back on the same day.
He started from Jubilee Hills at 7.57 am and after a two-hour break at Nizamabad he returned in the same cab at 5.17 pm. This incident happened on August 24th. Regarding this Mr.Sekhar said, "I booked Ola cab through my mobile and it said the cost was about Rs.5,000.
But when I actually returned, the bill showed cost of Rs.915,887/-. The bill for 450Km round trip showed the distance travelled as 85427 Kms. There were no dots between the numericals. For instance, the bill amount is displayed as '9158.87' which means Rs.9158. But even then it would be double the cost they actually said."
The cab driver Sunil Kumar also was shocked and he has told to Mr.Sekhar that he could buy two Indica cars with the same amount. However as the driver called Ola support staff, finally the bill was recalculated to Rs.4812. Mr.Sekhar said the whole process took 30 minutes.
