Piracy is the biggest problem for whole Film Industry. Be it Tollywood, Kollywood or Bollywood, Piracy in any form spoils the fate of the movie. Even though Cyber Crime is making all amendments to curb pirated sites, they were unable to stop them.
Most of the movies are leaked online. Recently World's biggest torrent domain was brought down and their clown came into active mode immediately. Similarly Torrentz search engine was brought down and it was also brought up. In this case, Bombay High Court has said that watching pirated movies online is not a crime.
The High Court has asked Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to drop the line "viewing, downloading, exhibiting or duplicating' a particular film is a penal offence" from the 'error message' and directed them to display a more generic message on URLS to be blocked for violation of copyright.
This has offered much relief for pirated miscreants as court itself has said it is not a crime. But this verdict will be a nightmare for film makers as Netizens would happily watch all movies in pirated prints.
