Sources have stated that the main opposition YSR Congress party legislators have targeted Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker K Sivaprasda Rao on the second of the monsoon session over special category status to AP.
It was stated that the MLAs trooped into well of the house and has stormed the
chair and they were seen jostled with marshals surrounded the Speaker podium to
prevent YSR Congress MLAs from reaching the chair.
Meanwhile amidst chaotic scenes, the legislators have uprooted the Speaker Mike
and has also flung paper pieces on the chair and has unheeded to Kodela request
to resume their chairs, the agitating MLAs demanded for a debate on special
status in the house immediately.
Sources have stated that as the situation went out of control, Speaker has adjourned
the house for 15 minutes and the State IT minister P Raghunath Reddy has termed
the incident a black day in the Assembly.
