Even as Pakistan is intensifying its efforts to internationalise Kashmir issue at UN with it PM Nawaz Shariff raising the issue at UNHRC and then writing letter to world nations in UNSC, he didnot find any support a head of UN General Assembly 71st session. According to the latest US Secretary of State John Kerry met Nawaz Shariff and when Shariff raised Kashmir,he asked him to take steps against the terror groups in Pakistan. 


False alarm over Saudi Plane in Philippines

False alarm increased tensions forcing police of Phillipines to surround a Saudi Arabian Airlines plane at Manila Airport. Spokesperson of AFP in the Saudi Capital Riyadh said  "false alarm for hijack for Flight 872," . Even the airline Saudia gave the same on it twitter account sharing that the aircraft had flown to Manila from the Saudi Red Sea city of Jeddah. Earlier Eric Apolonio, spokesman of Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines said the plane had been "isolated" on the runway after reports it was "under threat".


Typhoon Malakas hits Japan

Typhoon Malakas, hit northeast of Japan in a strong manner along the pacific coast heading towards Tokyo. This rresulted in heavy rainfall causing floods, forcing cancellation of flights and evacuation of 6000000 residents. Two people were slightly injured in southern Kyushu,while more than 100 domestic flights have been cancelled. 


Chinese media warn Nepal

Days after Nepal PM Prachanda's visit to India, Chinese media gave strong warning to Kathmandu against getting closer to India. The Chinese government-run Global Times  warned Nepal saying Khatmandu's independence and reputation will be "fundamentally hurt" if it gives Beijing short shrift and values New Delhi more.


UN suspends aid convoys to Syria

The United Nations following the airstrikes on relief trucks,decided to suspended aid convoys across Syria. It is known that air strike resulted in the death of  one aid worker and around 20 civilians, and destroying a warehouse and hospital.The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), which said it was postponing an aid convoy that had been set to deliver supplies to four besieged Syrian towns, warned of the consequences for millions of civilians in need.

Army guns down 10 terrorists in 2 encounters in Uri

Pakistani troops opened indiscriminate firing two days after terror attack in Uri, Kashmir. Pakistan troops trageted Indian army positions between 1.10pm and 1. 30pm.In the meantime Army killed 10 militants  in Uri sector's Lachipora area in north Kashmir's Baramulla district. According to sources 15 militants were part of the group and the  group was being chased for the past 12 hours. Army officials refused to share the details. 


Stalker stabs woman to Death in broad day light

In a shocking incident highlighting law and order problem in Delhi, a 21 year old man was stabbed to death by a stalker in Burari in the morning. Surender singh, the accused was chased and nabbed by the public before being handed over to the police who arrested him. The victim Karuna ,a teacher with a private school 22 stab wounds and was declared brought dead at a hospital. Esha Pandey, Addnl DCP (North) said Karuna was allegedly stalked and harassed by the accused for the last one year. Karuna's family had registered a complaint with police around five months ago, but the two families had later reached a compromise. 


SC asks Karnataka to release 6000 cusecs till Sep 27

Despite  vehement objections raised by senior advocate Fali Nariman for Karnataka, Supreme Court shocked the state, directing Karnataka to  release 6,000 cusecs to Tamil Nadu. Supreme Court order superceded the Supervisory Committee in the Cauvery water dispute and doubled the amount of Cauvery water ordered to be released. The court order was a severe blow to Karnataka, which began the hearing by protesting even the Committee's order to release 3,000 cusecs to Tamil Nadu till September 30.


Govt to SC on Italian marines

Additional Solicitor General P S Narasimha, responding to a plea by the Italy government, told a bench led by Justice Anil R Dave that the government was agreeable to let marine Massimiliano Latorre remain at home till an international tribunal decides whether India had the jurisdictional right to make the marines stand trial here.It is known that two Italian marines killed a couple of fishermen off Kerala coast in 2012.


India test fires  long range surface-to-air missile

 India on Tuesday successfully test fired a new, long range surface-to-air missile jointly developed with Israel from a defence base off Odisha coast. India tested the long range missile from  a mobile launcher at the Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Chandipur near here at around 10.13 hours.
