Sources have stated that security has been tightened in and around the city with 16,000 police personnel along with para military forces monitoring law and order in the wake of Supreme Court hearing on Tuesday and the security has been deployed at sensitive areas and bus stand and railway station to prevent violent protest.



Murthy A., a private company employee who was seen at Satellite Bus Station, has said he was going to travel till Attibele on a KSRTC bus, crosses the border on foot and then take another bus to Hosur from Tamil Nadu and meanwhile personnel who have stationed at the border has said vehicles are being allowed through Bellur to join Hosur.

Meanwhile Home Minister G. Parameshwara has said "substantial" number of police force has been deployed across the city in lieu of the Supreme Court hearing and at the border, two BSF companies and six KSRP companies have been deployed and added that Karnataka had complied with the earlier order and released 1.68 lakh cusecs until September 20th.



A senior police officer has said the police held flag marches in the sensitive areas and in many parts of Bengaluru, shops and commercial establishments have been functioning normally and no untoward incidents has been reported so far.
