Hyderabad have stated that the incessant rains has made the entire Hyderabad
and several parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh has come to a standstill have
got even the Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development KTR
spend an entire day in knee deep rain waters.
On September 22nd , KTR has held a
review meeting with officials from various parts of Telangana and ordered them
to implement preventive measures to stop any recurrence in the future apart
from offering relief measures to the rain affected residents throughout the
state.
Sources have added that KTR then went on a field
trip and has visited several rain hit areas in Hyderabad and has interacted
with the local residents and commuters on roads to know about their plight and
KTR, along with Greater Hyderabad Mayor and Commissioner, MLA Vivekanand Goud,
Rangareddy Collector, has strolled through knee deep rain waters in several
residential colonies in Nizampet, Begumpet and several other areas.
KTR has requested the local residents to cooperate
with the GHMC and police officials in the relief operations and even requested
the residents of low-lying areas in and around Kukatpally to vacate their homes
and move to safer places until the rains subside over the next 2 to 3 days.
