Sources from Hyderabad have stated that if key performance indicators (KPI) are the reflection of the functioning of various departments, then the Andhra Pradesh government has achieved only 50% of the targets set in last three months.



It was stated that the state government has set quarterly targets for its departments on 261 key performance indicators covering social empowerment, urban development, infrastructure, service sector, industry, governance, and revenue and the data on achievement of KPIs show that most of the departments achieved below 50% target in 58 indicators.

The performance data was prepared by the government for presentation at the collectors' conference held in Vijayawada on Wednesday. Each department was given a specific target level on the fixed key performance indicators.



The Revenue earning departments like excise achieved 75% target while the stamps and registrations department achieved 61% of the target. The IT exports have recorded good growth, it failed on creating new jobs and the target achieved on creation of jobs in the electronics sector is 9.49 %.
