Politics is a dirty field and only those who are crooked and manipulative tend to survive strongly in this. At this point came someone like Jayaprakash Narayan and established his Lok Satta party. The former IAS officer known for his statesmanship and idealistic views had managed to attract a good deal of educated class.  But the current situation is such that JP may not be able to win the 2014 elections as he has decided to contest from the same Kukatpally area. Recently, he had also mentioned about announcing a new successor to the party. At a time when the party is still in the growing stages, JP moving away is disappointing.  Many are stating that JP winning the 2014 elections is ruled out so the chances are that he might be stepping down from politics. If that happens then it would be a failure of hope for many who thought that it was time for some reforms in the political arena. Maybe someone should take inspiration from JP and keep moving forward.
