Any political party relies strongly on its seniors and they are the ones who give guidance to the new joinees and also lead the path towards elections. That way the congress party has got a load of seniors whose political experience runs from decades together. But are they really using their wisdom to the best use?
For instance, the likes of Keshav Rao, Hanumantha Rao, Palvai Govardhan Reddy have been enjoying all the powers and perks of the congress party but the moment they face the media they either criticize their own party or sing praises of another party like YSR Congress or TRS. What kind of value addition is that?
At a time the congress is going through some real difficult phase due to the various scams and corruption cases, it is important for the seniors to come forward and act as a shield. Instead, if they turn their backs on the party, is it not a sign of their lack of gratitude? Should the high command still entertain them?
