It is known news that the TDP president Chandrababu Naidu withstood all criticism and did what he wanted in the end. He ensured that the congress party won the no-confidence motion and they stayed in power. Babu’s long term plan was to ensure that the TDP regains all its strength and then they can take the 2014 elections confidently.
But again, trouble seems to have emerged for him in the form of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. With the news that DMK has withdrawn support for the UPA government there is a likelihood of the collapse happening at the centre and if that happens then there is no choice but to have the midterm elections.
And if that happens all plans of Babu to gain time till 2014 will be ruled out and he will have to rush up his forces as time is the constraint. Sources say it could also leave an impact on the plans Babu made for his Padayatra. But whether this sudden change of events will turn out to be a blessing or not remains to be seen.
