After the Congress and Telugu Desam Party, it was always the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which had the right kind of presence and leadership. As it is a national party it could have grown into a third front in the state but for some reason it never developed like that. Many are saying it is due to the leaders who are invisible.
If you see on paper, there are many experienced and wise leaders in BJP like Venkaiah Naidu, Kishan Reddy, Indrasena Reddy, Laxman and others. At one point, even Baddam Bal Reddy had a strong command in old city. But despite the presence of so many leaders, none of them have shown their presence.
Today, they have left the original ideology of the party and they have got into the concept of Telangana which is making it obvious that BJP is struggling for its identity and existence. As it is, the situation of BJP is not at all good except Gujarat. At a time when the nation needs a strong nationalist party, BJP is spoiling its own chances.
