The Telugu Desam Party received a lot of flak in the last few months and this was due to their indifferent and non-cooperating stand towards collapsing the Congress government and paving way for a midterm in Andhra Pradesh. The party and its head Chandrababu had their own reasons for that.
Most importantly, TDP was keen on consolidating their power and revive the party within the one year. But if one looks at the big picture, the same seems to be the case with the UPA government in center. According to reports from Delhi, it is heard that they are also in the same spot as TDP.
Sources say UPA chief leaders are not confident that if they are to go for a midterm poll at this point then their victory is guaranteed. The government is totally blackmarked with nonstop scams and it would take a lot to come out of that. But some say Rahul Gandhi has reportedly indicated just six months time.
