The state of Andhra Pradesh is no longer the prosperous zone indicating growth and development. Today, it is the best example of how politics and corruption can ruin the total situation. Speaking about the facts, it is heard that Andhra Pradesh is currently in a state of financial doldrums owing to poor administration and financial manipulations. During the regime of Telugu Desam Party, Chandrababu Naidu had borrowed Rs 50000 crores and at that point he was accused of bending down to the World Bank’s diktat. And now that Congress has come to reign from the last decade, it is heard that the debt of the state now stands at Rs 1.8 lakh crores. To add to the woes, the annual budget for the state is touching Rs 1.6 lakh crores and out of this Rs 70000 crores comes from VAT paid by the people. Despite all this basic amenities like power, water, medicinal facilities, roads and other things are still a farfetched thing for the people. What a sad state!
