Indian judiciary   has set a good precedent yesterday  with  ' public interest ' litigation's  as  felt in the recent  dismissal of  a PIL against  PCC chief and state transport minister Botsa Satyanarayana's daughters recent lavish wedding  by the  AP high court .

There were nearly 210  PILs pending in AP high court  since 2010 seeking information from Government on  various  issues  still at  admission stage as there is no response from authorities.

A division bench of the AP high court Chief Justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta and Justice N V Ramana  on Thursday dismissed an appeal seeking information regarding the expenditure incurred by the state government for providing transport, security and accommodation to the guests of PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana on the occasion of his daughter's wedding in November last year.

The petition  by Congress Secular Hindu Forum was questioned by the court to clarify whether the organization was a registered society or not and to produce a certificate or evidence in this regard. When they failed  the court dismissed it .

We have seen how  Court operations were derailed with numerous litigation 43 lakh cases in all high courts .AP high stands 3.2 lakh cases  besides  another 12 lakh cases in all  district  courts .Indian judiciary would take 320 years to clear the backlog of 31.28 million cases pending in various courts including High courts in the country, Andhra Pradesh High Court judge Justice V V Rao  had said once .

Ironically there  is a 10 year long wait list  in  the courts of Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh who have the largest  number of  pending cases
