While world over there is stiff competition for motor parking space, Hyderabad nee Cyberabad is heading to have a second bicycle parking station  

 The second bike station is coming up near the Bio-Diversity Park with slot for 200 bikes near the IT corridor to cater to the techies who prefer cycling to motoring to work .

 “The GHMC is also planning to create exclusive cycle tracks in the corridor  tol enable interested techies  in Cyberabad to extensively use cycling tracks., says M.T. Krishna Babu, GMHC Commissioner. Irnoically  there were only 25,000  lakh bicyles  sold  as against  five lakh two wheelers and  0ne lakh  four wheelers in Hyderabad per year .

 As part of its Endeavour, the Hyderabad Bicycle Club will also be setting up state-of-the-art bike stations at all Metro stations with the support of APIIC and Hyderabad Metro Rail beginning with the Hi-tec City station, said D.V. Manohar, chairman, Hyderabad Bicycling Club

 Meanwhile, an eight-member team of the HBC that completed the 500 km London-Paris Cycle Challenge was felicitated. The contingent included D. V. Manohar, chairman of Shakti Group, his son D. Dharmin, and a student in USA, Aditya Mehta (whose leg was amputated), Prashant Krishnadas, Sreenivas Hosamane and Asha Hosmane
