Well..A lot is happening in Uttar Pradesh politics. The seat sharing between Samajwadi party and Congress has finally landed with Akhilesh agreeing to give Congress 105 seats . Still yesterday there was a lot of confusion running between the two parties. The news also emerged that both parties would contest alone without any alliance in the upcoming polls.
Discussions went on till late night .The deal was sealed
after SP president Akhilesh Yadav agreed to give 105 seats to the Congress in
elections for the 403-member UP assembly. Till late yesterday both parties have
blamed each other over the failure of the talks. But, Congress' UP in-charge
Gulam Nabi Azad still had hopes, when he said, "You will come to know
about the status of alliance by Sunday morning
Today the result was out as Congress agreed to the new offer given by the Samajwadi party and an official statement was made that SP and Congress would go together in the upcoming polls. But suspense is still on as who would contest from the crucial seats of Amethi and Raebareli as it is a stron hold of congress.
Negotiations continued till 4 am today over the seat sharing and both parties have come to an understanding to contest together and knock out BJP by consolidating the important Muslim votes.
