Special Status demand for AP is increasing tensions for AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu. Chandra Babu Naidu along with other Union Ministers like Venkaiah Naidu silenced the people demanding special status citing the development work, release of huge funds and also clearance to Polavaram project by the Union Government.
However Jallikattu protests at Marina Beach by Tamil Tambis in Tamil Nadu and the way Centre reacted by promulgating the ordinance to overrule supreme court ban,fired up the people of Andhra Pradesh. AP Youth are all set to organise silent protest for AP Special Status at RK Beach,Visakhapatnam on Republic Day and the way AP government reacted by banning shows that it is experiencing jitters.
Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSRCP and Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena supported the event. Both warned of strong reaction if Government stops the event. Jagan now announced his powerful decision. He said all MPs from the state should resign and go for fresh polls to attract national attention for AP special status fight.
He attacked Chandra Babu Naidu saying "How can he (Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu) mortgage special status, saying all (benefits) have come and that I am not going to ask for special status. All that he speaks is lies,"
Jagan dared Chandra Babu Naidu saying "Let's all go to Delhi. If Chandrababu Naidu is ready, I invite him to take an all-party delegation. I will also join him. If Delhi does not agree, we tell him strongly to withdraw his ministers (in Union Cabinet). We will make all MPs in the state resign. We will go for elections in a way the whole country sees,"
Jagan made clear "We will raise the issue in the Budget session of Parliament and after monsoon session, all our MPs will resign and seek a mandate on the special category status plank. If TDP is sincere on the issue, all MPs should quit to make the country know about the importance of special status,"
