1.Telangana taking steps to lead the pack of cashless states: Governor. The Telangana government is pooling resources and making efforts to make the state a leader in the country in cashless transactions post demonetisation, Governor ESL Narasimhan said in Hyderabad on Thursday.
2.KCR, Chandrababu attend 'At Home' function of Governor Narasimhan. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao and several other leaders attended an 'At Home' programme hosted by common Governor of both states ESL Narasimhan on the occasion of Republic Day.
3.US body finds fault with Hyderabad-based drug firm Natco Pharma. City-based drug firm Natco Pharma on Wednesday revealed that the US drug regulator has found some lapses in quality control measures at its formulation plant at Kothur in Telangana.
4.Non-voters lose their rights: Telangana Governor.Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan on Wednesday said a person who does not vote has no right to make demands on the government. Speaking at an event organised on the eve of National Voter’s Day at Ravindra Bharathi here on Wednesday, Mr Narasimhan said voting in an election is the right given to citizens by the Constitution and it is a citizen’s responsibility to vote, which is paramount in parliamentary democracy.
5. Short circuit in Owaisi Hospital.A short circuit in a doctor’s cabin on the second floor of Owaisi Hospital adjacent to the paediatric intensive care unit led to major chaos as women ran with their children to the ground floor. The fire occurred at 9.30 am. According to patients’ attendants, the cabin was damaged due to the fire. The fire brigade said it did not get any call.
6.Narrow escape for 55 passengers.Fifty five passengers, including engineering students, had a narrow escape when their RTC bus nearly fell off the culvert at Edulabad on the way to Ghatkesar from the city.
6.Bank to sell assets of Nagireddy Keshava Reddy. The Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday refused to stay the auction of the property belonging to Nagireddy Keshava Reddy, chairman of Keshava Reddy Educational Institutions located in Kondapur by State Bank of India.
7.K Chandrasekhar Rao has put tribals at risk, says Telangana TDP. TS TD working president A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday lashed out at Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for allowing uranium mining in Nallamala forest area in Nagarkurnool district thereby causing immense damage to the lakhs of tribal people living in the forest area and irreparable damage to Krishna River that passes through the area. 
8.National Green Tribunal angry as orders ignored.The National Green Tribunal in Delhi on Wednesday directed the Chief Secretaries of both TS and AP to explain the reasons for not implementing its orders staying the use of heavy machinery for sand mining in both the states.
9.K Kavitha takes potshots at TJAC chairman M Kodandaram.In an indirect dig at TJAC chairman M. Kodandaram, Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha on Wednesday said that those who have retired cannot dictate terms to the TRS government that is toiling hard for all-round development of the state.

2.AP: 102 projects to be finished, MoUs signed for Rs 5,980 cr investments. At a time when Andhra Pradesh Government is setting the stage for signing memoranda of understanding and attracting investments of over Rs 6.38 lakh crore during the two-day Partnership Summit, Governor ESL Narasimhan on Thursday said State was signing MoUs for an estimated investment of Rs 5,980 crore.
3.AP special status: Thousands detained ahead of 'beach protest', roads blocked. Thousands of youngsters who were on their way to RK beach in Visakhapatnam to take part in a silent protest demanding Special Category Status (SCS) for Andhra Pradesh were detained at various places in the city on Thursday.
4.Andhra Pradesh striving to bring investments; create jobs: Governor.Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan on Thursday exhorted people, particularly the youth, to contribute their bit to enable the state surge ahead on the path of progress.
5.AP Special Category Status row: Youth group team visits many colleges.Ignoring the denial of permission and the warning from police, volunteers of the newly formed Andhra Youth continued their campaign for the silent protest on Special Category Status by visiting colleges and asking youths to participate in the protest.
6.YSRC MPs to quit posts if AP is not granted special status: Jagan.Alleging that the ruling TDP in Andhra Pradesh was not doing enough to get special category status for the state, main opposition YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy Wednesday said all his party MPs would quit their posts in future if the promise is not met.
