Telugu media always baffles people. Generally when any important development and incident happen, print media give importance to it the next day. However Telugu dailies shocked all with their actions. On Jan 26, all dailies highlighted the planned silent protests for AP Special Status at visakhapatnam.
Those who followed the developments in various regional channels agree that AP government headed by CM Chandra Babu crushed the movement with iron hand. Police turned Visakhapatnam into a virtual fortress and stopped people from entering the city. It was curfew like situation yesterday in Visakhapatnam and all channels covered that news.
But in the morning those who witnessed the news papers, got shock of their lives as the entire news was blacked out. Only Jagan's airport arrest, CM Chandra Babu Naidu's media address was given importance and the rest wss blacked out.
Watching this kind of behavior from the print media, people of AP came to a conclusion that print media is not for the aspirations of the state.They are sending signals that they are not interested in AP getting special status.
