Liqour baron Vijay Mallya defaulted crores of money taken as loans from banks and escaped from the law enforcement authorities. After Vijay Mallya escaped from India, blame game started as to who helped the liquor baron get so many crores of loan.

In a shocking twist it is comingout during the UPA rule, former PM Manmohan Singh and former Finance Minister Chidambaram helped Vijay Mallya to get undue favours. It is comingout that Vijay Mallya wrote letters to the then Prime Minister Office and his employees revealing that Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister gave undue favors to Mallya.


On June 10,2010 in an email, Mallaya revealed that he has asked the Chief Financial Officer – AK Ravi Nedungadi - to organize whatever money he can to help the crippling Kingfisher Airlines until the promised money comes from the Prime Minister’s or Finance Minister’s office.

suspicions are increasing why former PM Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister Chidambaram went on releasing funds for Kingfisher airlines. In another letter in October 2011 Vijay Mallya wrote to PM Manmohan Singh thanking him for meeting him to explain the difficulties of Kingfisher airlines. He added that Kingfisher approached consortium of banks to grant the company additional financial support and he had been asked to approach the then Principal Secretary to PM, TKA Nair for any issues. He revealed that right after his meeting with Nair, the problems were solved.
