Traffic restrictions to enable smooth movement for CM KCR in Suryapet led to the death of a house wife. 65 year old Soma Lakshmamma, was going to a hospital located next lane to Energy Minister P.Jagadeesh Reddy's house at the same time when CM KCR halted for having lunch on his way to Khammam to inaugurate the Bhakta Ramadasu Project.
Due to traffic restrictions, their car took another lane after police stopped them and reached the hospital. But Lakshmamma due to the delay lost her life in the hospital. Police however denied saying they didnot stop the car.
Lakshmamma,resident of Suryapet, was suffering from diabetes,hypertension and heart problems. When her husband took him to a nearby Gayatri Nursing Home, Dr.Ram Murthy adviced them to take her to Hyderabad.
When they reached Telangana Talli junction, police stopped and informed about the CM's movement and traffic restrictions. Anjaiah recollected " we took another lane but we were stopped again near the hospital. I rushed inside and pleaded with the doctor to examine my wife. The doctor came out and she was taken inside the hospital where she was declared dead"
He blamed the police for not allowing them to go to the hospital and added had she got timely help she must have survived.
