Based on these rumous IT stocks nosedived in the country and NASSCOM, Ministry of External Affairs promised to take the matter to the US establishment. It also cameout that PM Modi would raise the issue with Donald Trump during his US visit.

However Shalabh Kumar, prominent Indian American donor and supporter of Donald Trump said Trump is not planning any executive order on H1-B visas. He said "There will be a need of more H-1B visas. The number of people on H-1B from India is certainly going to increase,"

He went on to add "As such I visualise need of more IT workers in the US,". He said White House will eliminate the country quota in the allocation of green cards for legal permanent residents and felt this will help Indian IT professionals.

Couple of days back reports came that Trump may soon crack down on US temporary work visas including the H-1B and L-1 visas that are used widely by Indian tech companies.
