After maintaining silence on politics for quiet sometime, Tamilnadu politics again hit the headlines. After the former Chief Minister Late Jayalalithaa's sudden demise, her trusted person Panneer Selvam took over the charges as Chief Minister amid a high drama. After few days Jayalalithaa's confidante Sasikala took over as AIADMKs General secretary. Now the news is making rounds that Chinnamma will be sworn in as CHief Minister.
The AIADMK party is meeting on Sunday. In this meet Mrs.Sasikala would be elected as the floor leader sources revealed ,accordingly the formalities of Sasikala being elected as Chief Minister would be completed said the close sources. The swearing-in-ceremony date has also been finalized for Sasikala's grand entry that would be on 9th of February.
Before this important meeting Sasikala had met the senior leaders from across the state and discussed various issues. More over she conducted a series of meetings with AIADMK MLA's district wise. On the other hand the Chief Minister Panneer Selvam is also meeting up with his close aids and discussing as how to protect his post, if sources are to be believed.
The speculations that Chinamma will take over the Charge as
CM have been fuelled by the untimely
shunting out of several bureaucrats considered close to O Panneerselvam.Among
others, former bureaucrat Sheela Balakrishnan, who was advisor to Jayalalithaa,
has also resigned, reportedly because she was miffed over being ignored by the
new dispensation. Among others who were asked to resign are CS Rama Mohan Rao,
CM's Secretaries KN Venkataraman and Ramalingam
