Telangana CM KCR and his government prides as the one who look after the welfare and development of the people. However it is comingout that CM KCR and his government insulted a Major of Assam Rifles, hailing from Malkajgiri area.
State government promised monetary award of Rs 30 lakh to Col M Ravi Kumar after he gunned down two terrorists after he received Sena medal but he was sanctioned mare Rs 23,250. When Ravi Kumar shot terrorists in 2007, he was Major and now he is Colonel.
There are various reasons and one could be victim of red tape. CM KCR himself made announcement on Jan 17 but government GO is yet to be issued and here's no clarity on the cut-off year from which medal recipients would get enhanced amounts.
Many are wondering how much more time T-Government needs to honor the valor of the Major.
