AIADMK General secretary Sasikala will be facing a huge legal hurdle on 14th of February as the Supreme court is likely to pronounce the verdict in connection with disproportionate assets case. On these lines Sasikala Natarajan political future will be decided.
The disproportionate assets case verdict is slotted for 10.30 am tomorrow. Justices PC Ghose and AK Roy will assemble tomorrow morning in the Supreme Court to deliver the verdict in the case involving Sasikala.
If Sasikala is found guilty in the disproportionate case
then she will have to go to jail where she will not be allowed to contest in
any elections and this may be a huge drawback. If she is let free then
Chinnamma will be cleared from all the legal hurdles and will take up the CM
chair as she has the numbers.
The Judgement will also pave way for the incharge Governor Mr. Vidya sagar Rao to call Sasikala for the floor test and put an end to the Tamilnadu political crisis.
Sasikala and her relatives are accused in the
disproportionate case of Rs.66.65 crore during the late Chief Minister’s
Jayalalithaa’s first term as CM. Jaya was also the main accused in the case. In
May 2015, Sasikala was acquitted by the Karnataka High Court in the
disproportionate case. Jayalalithaa and two other accused were also acquitted
in the case. The Karnataka government then moved the Supreme Court against the
high court's ruling.
