Political power war between former CM Jayalalithaa's close aide Sasikala and her trusted lieutenant Panneerselvam reached climax with the Supreme Court all set to deliver its verdict in Sasikala's disproportionate assets case.

Tamil Nadu governor Vidyasagar Rao delayed his decision due to the corruption cases hanging on Sasikala but his delay invited lot of flak from Sasikala group who indirectly accused him of supporting Panneerselvam faction.
Now with the Supreme Court about to deliver its verdict today at 10.30 AM damsel sword is hanging on Sasikala's head. Whether it is Jail or Bail or CM chair will be decided depending on the Supreme Court verdict.

Tamil Nadu governor Vidyasagar Rao's decision will also depend on court verdict. Adverse ruling will automatically disqualify Sasikala from becoming a legislator and she will be forced to look for an alternative. This will work in favour of Pannerselvam and many MLAs will in all probability drift towards him.

An unclear verdict will boost Sasikala's chances of becoming the CM.Under such circumstances no one can stop Sasikala from becoming CM. In case of split verdict by the two judge bench, there will be another twist in the climax. The case will then be referred to a larger bench.

Governor will then may bank on attorney general Mukul Rohatgi's opinion who already suggested the  the governor to summon a special session of the assembly “possibly within a week“ and conduct a composite floor test to determine who enjoys the confidence of the House -Sasikala or Pannerselvam.
