The ongoing uncertainty in the power struggle between Sasikala faction and Pannerselvam faction in Tamil Nadu is worrying people of Tamil Nadu. It is known that people of Tamil Nadu voted decisively for Amma Jayalalithaa. However her tragic demise in a sudden manner plunged the state in political uncertainty after Pannerselvam was forced to resign by Sasikala who planned to become CM.
TN Governor Vidyasagar Rao delayed the decision on inviting Sasikala who had majority of MLAs support till the Supreme Court ruling on her disproportionate assets case. She was convicted and sent to jail much to her shock. But even then uncertainty is far from over as Pannerselvam who is enjoying people's support is not having all important MLAs support. E.Palanisamy,staunch Sasikala loyalist is having the MLAs support but it is not clear who will win the confidence vote.
This is boosting the confidence of the opposition DMK and BJP is worried as Presidential elections are around the corner and BJP desperately needs entire AIADMK support to get its candidate elected.
AIADMK too wants to avoid elections at any cost as it is barely 2 years since it came back to power.
