BJP has been always confident of Hindus voting for the party and they have taken them for granted for most of the time ever since the Ram Janma Bhoomi Babri Masjid movement. Almost in all elections BJP especially in Uttar Pradesh talk of constructing Ram Mandir.
This happened for decades and the same is repeating in the ongoing Uttar Pradesh elections. Now many are wondering whether Hindus are getting ready to give shock to BJP and if that happens all the hopes of the party will be dashed. BJP according to sources is now concerned about the silence in its Hindutva vote back.
According to various reports and also feedback from the reliable sources in the RSS indicate that the Hindus are a confused lot over number of issues while backing or not backing the BJP. BJP's inability to project a CM candidate is becoming crucial among Hindus.
Many among the Hindus are feeling that SP led by Akhilesh Yadav is the best alternative. Hindus are not forthcoming in expressing their views and they are just coming with the answer “dekhte hain (lets see)”. SP's Akhilesh Yadav is scoring over PM Modi as the race is for the CM post.
Though Modi's popularity is high,lack of CM face with in the party is spoiling its chances. They are also angry with BSP as Mayavathi is wooing only muslims.
