AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu is not compromising on Polavaram project. It is known that he has taken it as a prestige issue and is keen to complete the project before the 2019 elections.
Chandra Babu made clear that every Monday it will be Polavaram Day and he will review the project every week. Chandra Babu is conducting reviews on Polavaram and he is turning heat on every one on every monday.
During the reviews till now Chandra Babu was not satisfied with the development and the Polavaram project status. This time he turned so furious that he thundered ' I will teach you the lesson'.
He even shocked all saying contractors and officials are not showing interest on the completion of the project the same manner in which they used to show interest while asking for clearance of advances.
He said till now not even 40% of the works have been completed and if this continues in the coming two years, Polavaram project cannot be completed. Chandra Babu ordered Irrigation Department to complete SpillWay and Spill Channel by selecting sub contractors. He has been advocating of allocating Diaphram and wall and Copper Dam construction works to the international companies.
Chandra Babu fired on Irrigation officials and directed them to appoint Laison Officer and Project Management Consultant for the Polavarm Project.
