Analysts are left wondering whether people of Uttar Pradesh will fall in love with Congress President Sonia Gandhi's love letter. It is known that Sonia Gandhi didnot campaign in Uttar Pradesh during the entire election process.
However in a sudden surprise, Sonia Gandhi released a letter addressing the people in her Raebareli constituency accusing PM Modi and the Union Government of "deliberately" depriving people of the centre's welfare schemes.
Sonia Gandhi skipped election campaign for the first time as she fell sick when she campaigned in Varanasi in August. Sonia said she couldn't visit her constituency due to some reasons and asked people to vote for Congress party.
It is known that BJP has been accusing Sonia and Rahul of neglecting their constituencies after getting elected. Sonia in her letter said "The central government is depriving you of welfare programmes deliberately and I am deeply pained to see this happening,"
She went on to question "Have you ever come across a government that works against its own people, tries to weaken them? These people are working for the welfare of only a handful of industrialists and the poor have to pay for it".
