1.  RTO's increment cut set aside by High Court :  Noting that punishments not in tune with the job charters of employees cannot be sustained, the Hyderabad High Court has set aside an `increment cut punishment' imposed by the state transport commissioner on one of its road transport officers (RTO) in Adilabad district. 
2.  TJAC plans to meet students on February 27 :  The Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) will hold a meeting with representatives of student and youth organizations on February 27 as part of preparing plans for the next phase of the movement demanding state government fill up vacancies in various departments.
3.  Congress fumes over KCR's 'idiot' remark :  The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) on Saturday took a serious view of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's "idiots" and "bandits" remarks. TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy and other senior party leaders said they would pay KCR in his own coin if he did no desist from spewing venom against the Opposition.
4.  Yadadri plan to include urban and special development zones :  With expectations of huge potential for future development in the Yadagirigutta Temple Development Authority (YTDA) area, the authorities have included an `Urbanisable Zone' and a Special Town Temple Development Zonein the draft master plan for YTDA area.
5.  Tollywood producer K C Shekhar Babu passes away :  Well-known producer K C Shekhar Babupassed away here on Saturday. He was 69. He died of a heart attack at his residence at Journalists Colony.

Andhra Pradesh
1.  CPI(M) mourns Srinivas, stages protest against Trump :  The death of Telugu engineer Srinivas Kuchibhotla in an alleged racial attack in the U.S. triggered protests in the city. Targeting U.S. President Donald Trump, leaders and activists of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) staged a protest and burnt his effigy.
2.  'Zinka’ to link up colleges with corporate world :  In the present scenario where lack of exposure to the corporate world has become a concern to students, an online platform ZinkaMe, also called Zinka, is going to bridge the gap, its makers claim.
3.  Special buses for Group-II exam today :  Special buses are being operated by the Visakhapatnam region of AP State Road Transport Corporation (APS RTC) for the convenience of candidates appearing for the APPSC Group-II Examinations being held at various centres in the city and district on Sunday.
4.  Probe begins into NGO irregularities :  Guntur Urban Police have begun investigation against an NGO charged with cheating several women after promising them sewing machines.
5.  Bankmen to go on strike on Feb   28:  Ten lakh employees and officers in the banking sector including public sector, private, foreign, co-operative and regional rural banks, will go on a strike on February 28 in response to the call of United Forum of Bank Unions and protesting against the decision to merge five associate banks with SBI .
6.  CWC sends rescued kids to grandmother :  The Krishnalanka police on Saturday handed over two children, Sd. Sham, 6, and Sd. Hameed, 4, to the Women Development and Child Welfare officials, who in turn produced them before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC).
7.  Swachh park inaugurated :  Swachh Bharat Park developed by Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, was inaugurated at Ukkunagaram.

10.  Training held for election staff :  Collector Pravin Kumar has said the instructions of the Election Commission should be meticulously followed in the process of conducting election to the North Andhra Graduates’ Constituency to the Legislative Council.
